Deeply colored with plenty of flavor but actually only medium-bodied, with dark-toned fruit recalling cassis and black currents, it would pair as nicely with a steak salad as opposed to a steak.

Blended from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is full-bodied and likewise full of dark fruit that is ripe enough to seem sweet without seeming sugary at all. Dark berry flavors show excellent intensity and staying power on the palate, with a gentle tug of tannin in the finish.
As it paints the teeth with dry, dusty notes of violets and cocoa, the tannins remain silky. Blackberry and underbrush create a grainy texture which coats the tongue. A marvelous interpretation of the elegance this variety can exhibit.
