Massolino 2025 Moscato d’Asti DOCG, Italy ($25)

Here’s a bijou of a Moscato, brimming with fragrances of honey-drizzled peach, honeydew melon, and almond blossom. Flavors of lychee and float on a fine mousse that bestows a touch of chalk on the finish while making us crave Thai green curry with shrimp.

92

Meiomi 2024 Pinot Noir, CA ($23)

The depth of character here is indisputable, from its layers of black cherry, dark plum, intense oak, and graphite. This is a bold Pinot Noir with an elegant plushness.

Member’s Mark 2023 Tour du Monde Zinfandel, CA ($14)

Bramble and spice, with ripe cherries, boysenberries, and toasty oak race across the palate in a juicy flow.

Merriam 2021 Right Bank Windacre Vineyard, Bordeaux Blend, Russian River Valley ($84)

This luxuriously soft blend is comprised of 65% Merlot, 14% each of Cabernets Franc and Cab Sauvignon, and 7% Malbec. Medium-bodied, with layered fruit notes that are both red and black in tone as well as a lightly spicy edge from 60% new French oak, it is more charming than powerful, and ready for current enjoyment.

Merry Edwards 2023 Pinot Noir, Meredith Estate, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County ($100)

Focused and tense, with floral refinement and racy acidity. Plum and cherry notes are accented by white pepper and sandalwood. Umami notes settle on the finish with a pleasing salinity.

95

Merry Edwards 2023 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County ($60)

Concentrated and earthy, with black tea and plum blossoms riding along on silky tannins. Tobacco, dried lavender, and persimmon create a complex network of flavors.

Merry Edwards 2024 Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County ($50)

Aged sur lie for six months in (15% new) French oak, this is a fleshy, succulent expression of its variety. Following self-possessed aromas of grapefruit blossom and pear subtly flecked with slivered almond and fresh-cut grass, it positively springs to life on the palate, where ripe apricot, mango, and star fruit plus a dash of white pepper show staying power.

96

Napa Bridge 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain, Napa ($99)

With mountain intensity, this red maintains an impeccably balanced nature, with streamlined dark fruit, cedar, and plush tannins. Black cherries dipped in dark chocolate are seductive and gloss over the palate, encouraged by an innate, vibrant acid structure.
