Michter’s 10-Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, USA, 94.4 Proof ($185)

Released at its peak maturity, this marks the first release of this single barrel offering since 2021. Well-developed aromas of caramel, saddle leather, and peach pie ignites the senses. Silky mouthfeel, with tangerine peel, torched crème brulée, and a nectar of peach preserves. Prickly white pepper dances around these sumptuous notes. This 10-year-old is a fragrant, opulent spirit.

Proof and Wood, Crossborder Jackpot Whiskey, U.S. & Canada, 107 Proof ($79)

This combination of Canadian rye, American rye, and blended Canadian whisky is aged seven years. Viscous and biscuity, it’s perfumed with butterscotch, red apple, dates, and Mandarin orange. On the palate the weight is seductive on the mouth, with luscious notes of banana cream pie, vanilla bean, and custard. The high proof works well in a balanced frame.

Proof and Wood, The Stranger Rye Whiskey, Poland, 105 Proof ($70)

A 100% 8-year-old rye Polish whiskey bottled in Kentucky. Aromas of peach pie, pine closet, and pecan nougat are vivid. Once the high proof heat fades, peach nectar, caramel apple, and burnt orange peel notes are unmasked. The finish releases lingering flavors of tobacco and cedar.

Prospero Blanco Tequila ($40)

This is made by one of the few female master distillers of tequila, Stella Anguiano, and is a celebration of the female spirit, a partnership between Anguiano and superstar musician Rita Ora, who serves as chief creative officer. Smooth, spicy and strong in agave, it comes from the lowlands of Jalisco, and offers balanced richness, complexity and length, impressing from start to finish, a powerful expression of place and prowess. 80 proof.

91

RumChata Coconut Cream Liqueur, USA, 27.5 PROOF ($23)

With a combination of Caribbean rum, Wisconsin cream and horchata-inspired flavors, the aromas of ripe pineapple and fresh coconut are winsome. Flavors of papaya, Meyer lemon, and almond add layers to the rich coconut notes.

93

Sunshine Punch Orange Crème, North Carolina, USA, 36 Proof ($25)

This ready-to-pour blend of rum, citrus, and cream not only won the WSWA Access Live Brand Battle competition this past March, but also won the hearts of The Tasting Panel editorial team who tasted it in Orlando. Tasting the brand over ice (best way) or in a clever mixed drink, demonstrates versatility, and authentic, balanced flavors that “shine” through. The spark of spice on the finish is well anticipated with each sip. In its memorable, bright orange bottle with the wood stopper, this is one to watch.

91

Tequila Eterno Verano Blanco ($50)

From 100% Agave, this Blanco tastes of spicy jalapeno, grilled pineapple and baking spice, with length, intensity and grip. The refined backbone adds a level of elegance to this otherwise energetic spirit. 80 proof.

92

Tequila Eterno Verano Reposado ($60)

Given 6 months of aging in whiskey barrels, this tequila opens in rich, rounded hints of vanilla cookie, caramel and waffle cone before finding its way to complementary characteristics of smoke and spice. The layered flavors are robust enough to sip on their own but will provide plenty of citrus and honey tones within a cocktail. 80 proof.
