This is not just a straight Cab but rather a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. It is a bit firmer in texture than the 2023 Unshackled Red Blend, but not by a lot, with slightly darker-toned fruit recalling Bing cherries and dark berries. Although it was made entirely in stainless steel tanks, the warm California sun imparted ripe aromas and flavors balanced between zesty citrus notes and warmer tones recalling tropical fruits along with a soft flavor akin to lemon curd.
