Lost Valley 2024 Odd Moments Chardonnay, Napa Valley ($55)

A single vineyard, organically farmed Chardonnay, aged 10 months in French oak. Toasty, with a surge of lemon curd, vanilla, and croissant. A dot of white pepper reins in its rich, broad notes as they wash over the palate.

Lost Valley 2024 Wild Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley ($45)

Plunged in apricot and peach nectar, this succulent Sauv Blanc shows itself with body and weight, aged nine months in 35% new French oak. Gardenia and jasmine ring the tropical bell, with a base of vanilla-tangerine cream on the finish.

Loveblock 2022 Pinot Noir, Central Otago, New Zealand ($37)

Bright cherry, with a lick of salinity and cinnamon hots excites the palate. Acidity is brisk and amplifies notes of red pepper, hibiscus, and toasty oak.

Loveblock 2024 Estate Grown Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, NZ ($27)

Grassy perfume, with lime zest and jasmine tea. On the palate, white flowers soften the intensity of tart grapefruit, while a salty array of Asian pears and honeydew crackle on the finish.

M by Michael Mondavi 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California ($225)

Michael Mondavi’s M Cabernet hits home with soft, plush tannins and a decidedly fruit-forward style that is impressively polished. Suave, velvety textures carry loads of ripe mulberry fruit and sweet Asian spice, building to a crescendo on the lengthy finish with robust tannins. Full-bodied and full-flavored, this is an immediately enjoyable Cabernet best enjoyed now and over the next three to four years.

MacRostie 2023 Chardonnay, Petaluma Gap, Sonoma County ($42)

From a notably cool vintage, this wine practically pulsates with energy. Entwined with lime blossom as well as hints of vanilla bean and hazelnut, white peach and nectarine greet the nose before making an impact on the gliding mouthfeel, met by tart green apple and kumquat; a minerally sensation emerges on the finish with a touch of fresh basil to complete the picture of time and place.

MacRostie 2023 Nightwing Vineyard Chardonnay, Petaluma Gap, Sonoma County ($58)

The allure of this whole cluster–pressed, barrel-fermented single-vineyard Chardonnay lies in the harmony it achieves in disparate sensations: Lychee and white currant, bread dough and beeswax, white flowers and baking spice coalesce on both nose and palate, the latter seductive in its juxtaposition of glossy texture with rippling acidity and just enough freshness on the bergamot-tinged finish.

MacRostie 2023 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley ($38)

Elegant, with a twirl of raspberry and red tea. Hibiscus and pomegranate notes are light and lovely, with undertones of spiced, crushed roses.
