A gutsy ripe red, energetic, and armed with plum and spiced cedar. Built to last, and carries its weight well with structured, yet glossy, tannins. Anise, tilled soil, and Worcestershire sauce carry a savory, earthy tone.

Trivento’s 2022 Cabernet is more reserved and restrained than the producer’s blockbuster Malbec from the same growing season, but that’s a virtue depending on your preferences and what happens to be on your customer’s dinner plate. Deeply colored with plenty of flavor but actually only medium-bodied, with dark-toned fruit recalling cassis and black currents, it would pair as nicely with a steak salad as opposed to a steak.
Impressively dark color shows the seriousness of this wine as soon as it hits a glass, and that initial impression is sustained all the way through the sensory sequence from sniff to sip to smile. Indisputably full-bodied but neither over-ripe nor over-oaked, this delivers so much rich flavor with so little astringency that one wonders how it could prove more broadly appealing even if offered at twice its asking price.
) It is enduringly amazing how flavorful wines from the “rain shadow” on the Argentine side of the Andes Mountains can be—even at very approachable prices. Blended from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is full-bodied and likewise full of dark fruit that is ripe enough to seem sweet without seeming sugary at all. Dark berry flavors show excellent intensity and staying power on the palate, with a gentle tug of tannin in the finish.
As it paints the teeth with dry, dusty notes of violets and cocoa, the tannins remain silky. Blackberry and underbrush create a grainy texture which coats the tongue. A marvelous interpretation of the elegance this variety can exhibit.
Fresh, crisp notes with waves of ripe pineapple, thyme, and oregano. Succulent grapefruit sorbet occupies the palate elevated by keen acidity.
A textbook example of modern Provence rosé: pale pink color, youthful and vibrant, pure, lifted, expressive red fruit notes, strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, and a slightly spicy note. Wonderful intensity, medium bodied, well textured, with good volume on the palate. Dry, and armed with plenty of acidity to keep it fresh on the palate with a long satisfying finish. 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 10% Rolle. Seriously well made!
Dark and shadowed, notes of cigar leaf and blackberry escape through an espresso center. Some tension exists along with teeth-coating tannins. Spiced sandalwood unhinges on the finish.
