Juicy with red cherries and mixed berries, this well-priced Malbec is crafted from hand-harvested, organic grapes. A nod in the direction of peppercorn spice adds complexity, and sappy tannins make this very versatile at the table.

From the ever-reliable Argyle comes this blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay that aged ten years on the lees to yield a complexity commensurate with its verve. The notes of fig and apricot that enhance the warmth of bread dough, caramel apple, and Brazil nut on the nose also highlight the coolness of preserved lemon and green plum on the delicately creamy palate, where nimble acidity accords with a finish lightly dusted with white pepper.
Aged on the lees in large format bottles, the wine shows taut acidity while advancing towards a fleshy mouthfeel. Lemongrass and sweet basil meld with a tincture of salted pineapple. This zesty, rich Chardonnay inspires the appetite.
On the nose, initial scents of salted almond, fresh pear, and lemon deepen and darken with aeration: Think marzipan, plum upside-down cake, Christmas spice, and even an earthy hint of prosciutto. Sensuous and sinuous in style, the perlage-pinpricked palate strikes a similar balance between high-toned notes of just-underripe nectarine with richer ones of caramel-coated red apple and lime curd before easing into an extremely long, clean, minerally finish.
This remarkable value hits all the right notes: It’s a blend of equal parts Malbec and Cabernet Franc, both harvested from 106-year-old vines grown at over 3,300 feet above sea level and crafted under the watchful eye of iconic supervising winemaker Michel Rolland. Each sip is silky and well-balanced, and rolls along with blackberry liqueur, pencil shavings, and chocolate ganache, all finishing with cherry pie filling, chocolate-coated black licorice, and cocoa powder.
Rich and succulent, with marzipan, orange peel, and graham cracker pie crust. Acidity pulls through the toasty profile. Allowing a sunshine-bright lemon verbena to peek through.
Violets, black pepper, and balsamic are enticing and the aromas and flavors are a nod to a Northern Rhone style. Black truffle and tilled soil frame an inner core of black currant, coffee, and plum skin. A masterful Syrah, anointing the palate with tension and grip.
Focused, vivid notes of chamomile, lemon verbena, waxy yellow apple lick the palate with a luxe, clean structure. Saline minerality frames the wine with a modern, steely character.
