Luscious aromas of blackberry pie and saddle leather lead to a plush palate of dark chocolate and plum liqueur in this distinguished blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petite Sirah, 4% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 3% Malbec, which features grapes from premier vineyards in the growing regions of California’s Central Coast. The mid-palate carries a bit of weight with notes of pie crust, Luxardo cherry, and a hint of white pepper. After the grapes aged separately, the lots were integrated into a blend that aged an additional 18 months in new French and neutral American oak. 92
