Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Donates $200,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley

In May 2023, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits made a significant donation of $200,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley. In addition, all 385 employees of Deutsch Family volunteered for a Service Day to help with a variety of projects at the Boys and Girls Clubs.

The Service Day united Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits’ employees in a collective effort to make a positive impact within the community living in one of the most important winegrowing regions in the world. It also reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a culture of service and philanthropy.

The Boys and Girls Clubs are dedicated to nurturing the potential of local children and teens. Through various programs and activities, the organization fosters academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles among its young members. Deutsch Family’s donation will enable the organization to enhance its programs, ensuring that every child in Napa Valley has the opportunity to succeed by helping to provide vital resources such as educational support, mentoring, after-school activities, and nutritious meals.

Deutsch Family also operates Scholarship Award program that gives its employees’ children an opportunity to receive an annual award to continue their post-secondary education. Since the start of the program in 2006, the company has awarded over $3 million in scholarships.

In addition to corporate giving, many of Deutsch Family’s brands are also involved in substantial, ongoing philanthropic and cause-related efforts. Over the years, Josh Cellars has donated more than $1.5 million to various charities, and founder Joseph Carr regularly creates volunteer programs for various causes. And one of its newest brands, Gray Whale Gin, is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, with proceeds going to support Oceana, an international organization protecting and restoring the world’s oceans on a global scale.
