Following the success of the first ever edition of the Tio Pepe Challenge in the US we are back in 2019.
Now in its 6th year the Tio Pepe Challenge is an international mixology competition for creating cocktails with Sherry where bartenders from around the world have the unique opportunity to discover the infinite possibilities of Sherry wines and, with the guidance of our experts, demonstrate their knowledge, venencia skills, creativity and talent in crafting signature cocktails.
The first ever edition to be held in the US was a great success with over 300 bartenders attending our masterclasses held around the country and Valentino Longo for Four Seasons Miami representing the US in the international final after winning the US final held in Leyenda, Brooklyn. The international final was won by top Mexican mixologist Eduardo Nava from the famous Lintour bar in Mexico City. Beating off competition from leading mixologists from thirteen other international markets Nava wowed the judges with Gurrumino; a delicious blend of Tío Pepe Fino infused with yuzu juice and orgeat served over crushed ice.
The Tio Pepe Challenge is back in the US with masterclasses being held nationwide in January and February 2019 and the US final set for 9th April in New York.
