Josh Cellars Celebrates Inaugural “Joshgiving” Campaign

Join This Wine Brand in Giving Back to Communities Across the Country This Holiday Season

It’s the season of giving, and get into the spirit, California wine brand Josh Cellars has been rallying people across the country named “Josh,” including global star Josh Groban, for a holiday giveback campaign called #Joshgiving. The goal of the program? To put the “thanks” back in Thanksgiving.

Joseph Carr, the founder of Josh Cellars, says, “This year’s Joshgiving campaign is the latest endeavor to give back to people and communities across the U.S. and inspire others to show their gratitude as well.

I originally created the wine as a tribute to my dad, Josh Carr, and wanted to honor the legacy of his lifelong service and volunteerism.”

Josh Cellars and its team of Joshes set out in early fall to conduct meaningful acts of thanks all season long. Groban decided he wanted to give back to veterans by hosting an event at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center in partnership with Sing for Hope, a nonprofit that harnesses the power of music to create a better world. Along with a $100,000 donation to support the organization’s mission, Josh Cellars, Carr and Groban also donated a uniquely designed piano to the facility and entertained veteran attendees with special performances to uplift their spirits.

Joshgiving continued with more support for veterans—a cause close to Carr’s heart, as his father was a U.S. Army veteran. For his act of gratitude, Carr partnered with American Humane’s Pups4Patriots, a program that trains service dogs to help veterans in need. Josh Cellars is donating $100,000, including $1 for every bottle purchased on JoshCellars.com throughout the month of November.

The other slightly less-famous Joshes have followed in kind: hosting community coat drives, supporting the LGTBQ+ community, fundraising for a local bookstore, and helping feed those in need via food banks. In all, Josh the brand is donating more than $220,000 to support six different giveback ideas.

“My dad embodied the spirit of Thanksgiving every day of the year. He believed in the power of people banding together for a good cause, and that’s what we’ve set out to do,” Carr says. “It’s been amazing to see this all come to life. I’m thankful for the amazing team of Joshes and our loyal customers cheering us on along the way. We set out on this movement to inspire a groundswell of goodwill this holiday season and beyond. I know my dad would be proud.”

You don’t have to be named Josh to get involved. Post your own act of thanks on Instagram using #Joshgiving, and three fan-submitted charities will receive a donation from Josh Cellars.
