As the official publication of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the San Francisco International Wine Competition, THE TASTING PANEL continued its six-city cross-country circuit, tasting trade and consumers on some of this year’s Double Gold–winning wines and spirits. City stops included SAN FRANCISCO, MIAMI, NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES

At TWO, the recently remodeled and renamed American eclectic restaurant from proprietor/chef David Gingrass (he opened the location in 1995 as Hawthorne Lane), The Tasting Panel Magazine and San Francisco Competition crew hosted over one hundred guests for an afternoon tasting.

Nicole Burke, Wine Director at the Epic Roast House (a huge new waterfront project from Pat Kuleto and Chef Jan Birnbaum, slated to open in early ‘08) with Jerry Cooper, owner of Swirl on Castro wine shop.
John Sverko, Wine Buyer for Mendocino’s exquisite Little River Inn with Ziggy, The Wine Gal (and a judge at the SF International Wine Competition).

The Tasting Panel Tour was held at South Beach hotspot Table 8, but the team enjoyed dinner at Emeril’s the night before the event.
