|The Consorzi Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano have announced a new U.S. education initiative entitled The Tuscan Wine Masters Academy.
This program is the second major U.S. initiative of the ongoing Italian Wine Masters program launched in February 2010, and comprises a dedicated wine certification program designed specifically for members of the wine trade. The curriculum of Master Classes consists of classroom study and a series of tastings focusing on these three prestigious Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (D.O.C.G.) wine-producing regions. Participants who successfully complete the course earn a professional certification in the wines of Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, from the participating Consorzi.
The program will be offered in Chicago on April 26 and 27 at Bin 36, 339 North Dearborn,in collaboration with the Chicago Wine School, and in New York on April 27, 28, and 29 in collaboration with the International Wine Center, at 350 7th Avenue. The program is open to beverage and food industry professionals. The cost for each city for the entire session is $75 per person. Advanced reservations are required.
