Aidan Demarest Appointed Portfolio Brand Ambassador for Philadelphia Distilling

Philadelphia Distilling has announced the appointment of Aidan Demarest as Portfolio Brand Ambassador, effective July 8.

Aidan Demarest.
Los Angeles-based Demarest is owner of Neat spirits bar Glendale, CA and Partner in Tello/Demarest-Liquid Assets consulting. He is a board member of the Sporting Life-LA, judge at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and a pioneer in the Los Angeles cocktail scene. Prior to opening Neat in 2011, his career included stints as Beverage Director at such bars as Seven Grand, The Edison, and The Spare Room-Hollywood Roosevelt.

"We are very pleased to have such a unique individual as Aidan to bring our brands to life in California and beyond," said Philadelphia Distilling founder Andrew Auwerda.

"Aidan's vast and deep knowledge of quality spirits and cocktails is impressive on its own. Couple that knowledge with his entrepreneurial sense and sales and marketing savvy, and Aidan the perfect complement to our growing team of experience professionals dedicated to building a strong spirits business."

With Philadelphia Distilling, Demarest's primary responsibilities will be to build enthusiasm on the West Coast for Philadelphia Distilling brands Bluecoat Gin, Vieux Carré Absinthe, XXX Shine Whiskey, and The Bay Seasoned Vodka. Demarest's functions will include sales, publicity, marketing activation, and overall brand and portfolio exposure.

"I'm really excited about working with a full portfolio of craft spirits right at a time when American drinkers are asking for more and more interesting brands and categories," said Demarest. "Gin, Absinthe, White Whiskey and now The Bay. The whole portfolio has infinite possibilities for cocktails.  Philadelphia Distilling has always been a distiller I've admired and it's so rewarding working with a distiller whose brands are well-received instantly. I see Bluecoat Gin at the forefront of the gin category in the next five years. It's just that good."
