View from a Bar: Humperdink's, Arlington, Texas
Posted by The Armchair Oenophile
If you only knew how fascinating Arlington is, you might never leave. Within two or three miles from Humperdink's "tallest" sports bar there is Rangers Ballpark, where the Texas Rangers play; Cowboys Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play-and where next year's Super Bowl is headed; Six Flags amusement park, for cheap thrills; and the International Bowling Museum ('nuff said).

Arlington already hosted this year's NBA All-Star Game and will bring the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four to town in 2014.

Humperdink's is going to be packed to the rafters come Super Bowl Sunday (and totally breaking through those tall rafters if the Cowboys make it to the big game). If you get here, I recommend any beer from Big Horn Brewing Co., created right on the premise. I enjoyed the Big Red IPA, which was crisp with a hint of darkness lurking throughout. Looking through the rest of the brew menu, I wondered if I could save this bar stool until March Madness 2014.
